Environment & Sustainability

At Green Oaks we are determined we will play our part in helping children and our community to protect their environment and support a sustainable way of living. To do this, we are working hard to:

• shape the attitudes and care that children and families have towards caring for our environment
• educate our children through what is learnt and experienced in the classroom
• develop sustainable school grounds and premises

Throughout their seven years here, children will learn, experience, enjoy and enquire about many areas of the natural world. They begin to learn that the natural world recycles everything and although we don’t, we can. We plan opportunities every term for children to learn outdoors so that they build an ever-growing connection with nature and we support them to see the links between looking after nature and looking after ourselves.
